Scandalul mediatic declansat de aparitia numelui ministrului Mediului Laszlo Borbely intr-un dosar al DNA in care este suspectat de trafic de influenta reprezinta, in opinia deputatului PNL de Bihor, Octavian Bot, "un cartonas galben aratat UDMR de catre presedintele Traian Basescu". Parlamentarul ii acorda lui Borbely prezumtia de nevinovatie si spune ca "in Romania traficul de influenta este o metoda de partid".Deputatul Octavian Bot considera ca PD-L a pierdut controlul asupra guvernarii. In opinia sa, traficul de influenta a devenit in Romania o metoda de partid. Bot spune ca a discutat cu mai multi oameni de afaceri, chiar si din Oradea, care i-au precizat ca unele licitatii s-au facut "cu dedicatie".
